New from the studio in 2024!

I'm excited to introduce you to my latest artwork, Barcelona Nights. This mixed media piece measures 47"x47" and is a vibrant and captivating addition to my abstract series. The artwork features a dynamic composition of geometric and organic shapes densely packed together, creating a visually stimulating experience for the viewer.

The central area of the artwork is dominated by a large, upright rectangle with a yellow-orange texture that gives off a glowing effect. Flanked by two vertical sections, one with stripe patterns and corrugated textures, and the other with a cool teal, vertically-lined design, the piece is a vibrant display of texture and color.

Incorporating raw linen and corrugated cardboard for unique textures, this artwork exudes a sense of controlled chaos, with each element deliberately placed to contribute to the balance of the composition. The diverse color palette of browns, blues, yellows, whites, and hints of green, combined with visible brush or tool marks, adds to the handcrafted charm of the piece.

What sets Barcelona Nights apart is the sense of light being generated from the dark background, creating a luminous quality. The splatters and specks of bright colors give the image a celestial or cosmic feel, adding an extra layer of depth to the composition.
